Abstract An earthquake of magnitude 6.9 hit the city Izmir (Turkey) on 30 October 2020, resulting in 117 deaths (in Turkey) and considerable economic losses. The also triggered a tsunami. Following earthquake, field surveys are being conducted Covid-secure way to study document damages caused. caused significant residential buildings mainly located district Bayrakli Bornova. However, no were observed railway roadway bridges or tunnels that helped rescue operations. structural which included so-called pancake collapse (where entire building collapsed) soft storey type (weak characterised with weak columns collapsed), some cases, only ground floor completely collapsed.
